ICIA - ICIA serves its worldwide membership and the AV communications industry as the pre-eminent provider of education, exhibitions, and information services to enhance their ability to conduct business successfully, profitably and competently. ICIA’s membership is made up of 2,700 companies and individuals located in 56 countries, representing tens of thousands of AV communications professionals. ICIA presents value to its members as an industry-wide non-competitive entity.

NSCA - The NSCA is the leading not-for-profit association representing the commercial electronic systems industry. With a slate of more than 2,500 member companies worldwide, the National Systems Contractors Association is a powerful advocate of all who work within the low-voltage industry, including systems contractors/integrators, product manufacturers, consultants, sales representatives, a growing number of architects, specifying engineers and others.

Certifications

CTS-D - Targeted to design consultants, dealer system designers, system engineers, system sales professionals, and managers of design and installation departments. Testing addresses facilities and systems design, as well as processes, codes and regulations.

R-ESI - Requires 8,000 hours (or 4 years) work experience, the NSCA project management course and 120 hours of "electives" with not more than 40 hours from one of the following: audio, video, telephony, data networking, intra building communications, security/life safety, integrated automation and computer programming to sit for the registered, electronic systems integrator exam (R-ESI).

NICET - Audio Systems - This certification program is for engineering technicians engaged in the layout, installation, and maintenance of audio systems for commercial, industrial, and large space applications. Areas covered on the exam include: basic electronics, acoustics, and related math; basic understanding of other related low voltage systems; and application of codes and standards.
